David has over 25 years’ experience in project and infrastructure finance, supporting developers, asset owners, investors and lenders across the full lifecycle of complex transactions.

David specialises in capital raising, project and structured finance, M&A and strategic advisory across renewable energy, infrastructure and real assets. He has experience across solar, wind, energy storage, energy‑from‑waste, hydro, transport and social infrastructure, PPP and PFI, working with pension funds, insurers, banks, family offices and public‑sector stakeholders.

David brings a hands‑on, detail‑focused approach, combining rigorous financial analysis with a practical understanding of what is required to execute transactions successfully. He works closely with management teams and counterparties, valuing open, honest and collaborative relationships, and is known for his ability to communicate complex structures clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences.

Alongside his advisory work, David brings first‑hand executive and investment experience. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of Exagen Group, a UK-based renewable energy developer, where he led the business through a restructuring, grid reform and portfolio optimisation. He was also a Co‑Founder and Investor in Lumina Renewables, a European greenfield solar and battery storage platform. Previously, David was a Managing Director in Project & Infrastructure Finance at M&G Investments, one of the world’s largest infrastructure debt investors, where he led landmark renewable energy and infrastructure financings. Earlier in his career, he held senior credit and risk roles at Lloyds Banking Group and HBOS Australia, following Big Four training.

David’s advisory style is pragmatic and transparent, with a strong focus on detail, execution discipline and aligning stakeholder interests.

David is a CFA Charterholder and a Fellow of CPA Australia.
